Marilyn Monroe photographed by Bill Burnside (1948). When Marilyn first met Bill, back in 1946, he asked her if she would be interested in modeling for a friend of his. When she agreed and went out to Malibu, she was greeted by the man Paul Hesse, who told her she was “too fat.” This made her very upset, and to cheer her up, Burnside snapped some photos of her on the beach. “She loved the camera.
